Fresh Fruit Cheesecake Mousse Cups from Glorious Treats

You know I love my dessert for breakfast

Fresh Fruit Cheesecake Mousse

the BEST dessert breakfast ever

Fresh Fruit Cheesecake Mousse

I have this friend Glory, and she’s sort of  really famous. Maybe you know her too, she writes the incredible blog Glorious Treats.

If you happen to be lucky  enough to know her in person, she’s as sweet as her treats. Seriously.

Glory just released her first cookbook Glorious Layered Desserts, and let me tell you, you NEED this book. I {and our fab group of local bloggers }ate my way through  half of the book on Friday night at the book party.  My husband even loaded up for the mile drive home :) Yes, her food is that good people.

But don’t take my word for it. Glory’s recipes are easy to follow, and pretty much everything in the book can be mixed and matched.

After scouring through the book, I had decided to make the caramel brownie trifle first. Stella was most interested in making the chocolate peanut butter trifle.  Then I took one bite of the banana caramel cream dessert, and Oh MY…mind changed. This is one of the best desserts I have ever eaten, and would definitely be first to happen in my kitchen.

If I could have only one food for the rest of my life, this would be it.

The cheesecake mousse would be a delicious dessert all  on it’s own, but with layers of fresh fruit, well, let’s  just say I think it makes an excellent breakfast :)

  • keep in the refrigerator until ready to use
  • beat the cream cheese until it is smooth, and then add in the remaining powdered sugar, the vanilla, and the milk
  • gently fold in the whipped cream {just until combined}
  • place fruit of your choice at the bottom of the glass, followed by a layer of the cheesecake mousse{using a pastry bag or ziplock with the tip cut off is the easiest way of getting the mousse into the glass}
  • continue to layer

    Oh I don’t need a lot of convincing! I love Glory’s blog and have been following for a few years now. Her book is already in my cart on Amazon. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Everything looks so delicious…and too beautiful to eat!!

    The Caramel Brownie Trifle was my favorite from Friday too! And I laughed when I spotted him and the plate and plastic wrap. Hilarious — I was tempted to do the same thing too! Dessert for breakfast is basically the best thing ever. Or dessert for lunch. Or dessert for dinner. Or just dessert all day… :)

    Could these be any more gorgeous?! Even though I can’t eat these as is, I’ve been wondering what to do with all of these dairy-free cream cheese alternatives I have for review purposes. I’m not a big fan of subs, bu this might be a great way to use them!
