Tomorrow is the last day of 2013.

Was it a good year for you?  I sure hope so; it was an amazing year for my family.

I love New Years Eve, not so much for the “party” aspect of it, but more I love looking back over the last 12 months and dreaming about what the next 12 might hold.

Party or not, food is a BIG part of our little family’s  NYE plans.

When I visited Pillsbury a few weeks ago, the first part of our kitchen time was spent making appetizers.  They were all quick, easy, of course delicious, and just begging to be made for NYE.

Sheryl and I made Bacon Cheddar Pinwheels, and my first thought was  ”I bet these would be great buffalo style.” That is just what I did.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® Crescent Recipe Creations® refrigerated seamless dough sheet
  • 4 Tbsp Franks Red Hot Buffalo Wings Sauce
  • 4 slices bacon, crisply cooked, and then crumbled {the microwave works GREAT for this - 4 slices in between paper towels - 6 minutes on high}
  • 4 Tbsp crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  • Pre-Heat oven to 350°F.
  • If using crescent rolls: Unroll dough; separate into 2 long rectangles. Press each into a 12x4-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations to seal.
  • If using the seamless dough sheet: Unroll dough; cut lengthwise into 2 long rectangles. Press each into 12x4-inch rectangle.
  • Spread the hot suace over each rectangle
  • Sprinkle each with bacon, blue cheese, and the onions
  • Starting with one short side, roll up each rectangle
  • Press the edges edge to seal.
  • With a very sharp knife, cut each roll into 8 slices
  • Place cut side done on an un-greaased cookie sheet {I used my silpat liner}
  • Bake @350 for 12 - 15 minutes {edges will be golden brown}
  • remove from the cookie sheet
  • these are best served immediately
