I really had no intention of sharing this post with you.
Actually, it wasn’t really going to be a post.
I found this recipe that I could NOT resist on Mother thyme.
Homemade Spaghetti Os.
As a kid, these were hands down
my favorite food.
The ones with meatballs
YUMMY
{don’t judge}
I was SO excited to make them.
They were REALLY good,
and SO much like how I remember them.
BUT…since they were just blogged,
I was not making them with the intent to blog.
but then
today
tragically
I was wait listed for the Food Blog Forum Orlando Conference.
How could I possible bake at a time like this.
I feel like a kid who just found out that Santa’s a fake:(
So, I’m going to drown my sorrows in a bowl of comfort kid food.
Homemade Spaghetti Os
~adapted from Mother Thyme
1 pound of pasta {cooked}
I searched EVERYWHERE for Os, but used curls in place
1 can of tomato sauce
2 tbsp of tomato paste
1 cup of milk {whole is what I use but 2% would be fine}
1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp sugar
baked turkey meatballs {optional}
I used 3 per bowl
except for the fussy one who is refusing to eat meat
unless it’s bacon
over med – heat the tomato sauce with the tomato paste
add the milk, sugar, and cheese
whisk until the sauce is heated all the way through
toss with the drained pasta
serve
and Enjoy!
Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be over my heartbreak,
and the creative juices will flow again.

Don’t tell anyone, but I actually love Spaghetti O’s in the can, but I would much rather make a homemade version. Yummy.
