I may have mentioned
oh…about a hundred times
that I have a slight addiction to carbs.
I’m fairly certain that I could live on bread alone,
and quite happily.
Whether it’s yeast or quick,
white, whole wheat, or rye,
sweet or savory.
It’s all good.
I also happen to think that it makes for a great afternoon snack.
A little fruit, cheese, maybe even a wee bit of butter.
{okay maybe more than a wee bit}
Not much else can compare in my book.
This loaf is mildly sweet, with just a hint of cinnamon, and is simply delicious with whipped honey butter.
I was even thinking that because it really does taste like a graham cracker
some nutella and marshmallow fluff would be
REALLY
good!
{s’more sandwich anyone}
Graham Bread
1 egg
1/2 cup of honey
1 cup of graham flour
1 cup of whole wheat flour
{you could use all whole wheat flour}
pinch of salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup of milk
thoroughly butter a loaf pan
cream together the egg and honey
add in the flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon
gradually add in the milk, and mix gently just util everything is combined
pour into the loaf pan
bake @350 for 45 minutes
Honey Butter
1/2 cup of butter {at room temperature}
1/4 honey
beat the butter on med until it begins to get light and fluffy
slowly add in the honey
that’s all there’s to that:)
Enjoy!

Sounds delicious Heather! I’ve never used graham flour before. I really like the added honey butter too
thanks – I don;t use it often, but it really is delish
Let’s move together and live on Carb Island where we can gorge ourselves on all kinds of breads and not be affected by Monster Metabolism!!! Love this SO much Heather!
I’m SO in!
S’morewich?! Yes please!! Even if you don’t make this into a gigantic s’more, this bread sounds delicious. I’m very into making quick breads right now, so this recipe is getting added to the list!
it really is good just on it’s own – but everything’s better with nutella:)
Never heard of graham flour but this looks fabulous! Thanks for sharing!

I’ve got to get me some graham flour! Mmmmmm! Thanks for sharing at Two Cup Tuesday at Pint Sized Baker. I’ve pinned it!
Just saw Elaine link this – I love it! I recently made my own homemade graham crackers and I would love to use my graham/whole wheat pastry flour more. This is perfect!
We love making graham crackers!!
