Baked {creme brulee} Oatmeal

StumbleUponLinkedInShare

Dessert for breakfast anyone?

Creme Brulee is one of  my favorite desserts.
{custard and burnt sugar ~ what’s not to love}

Oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfasts.
{sweet but still healthy}

Why not join the two together, for one very special morning treat.

I’ll admit, I broke my cleanse just a little to have a taste,
{do you see that sugar}
and it was worth it!

oatmeal with a vanilla custard  flavor
crunchy caramelized brown sugar

best breakfast ever
I’m just sayin’

I made this single serving,
{baked in a ramekin}
but it would easily convert to feed more.

It’s okay if creme brulee isn’t really your thing,

    My sister-in-law had something like this at a hotel in LaCrosse, WI. She mentioned how she loved it and so when she was visiting, we decided to find a recipe. Pinterest led me to your recipe, and let me say that it was phenomenal! My family is hooked!

    Do you think this could be assembled the night before and then baked in the morning? I’m wondering if the oatmeal would get soggy. I did make this for myself the other night as a late dinner after the kids went to bed and it was AWESOME. Thanks for the recipe.
