It’s not everyday that you stuff a muffin with a candy bar,
but these are not your average ordinary muffins.
You see, tomorrow is Stella’s birthday,
and she wants to bring a breakfast treat to share
with her class.
Muffins didn’t seem special enough for a 10th birthday.
Double Digits is BIG
How did this baby
get to be 10 already?
Anyways, she is a chocolate LOVER,
so I knew chocolate would have to be featured.
I’m on a major hot cocoa fix, so this sounded great.
As luck would have it, I also happen to have a bag of Hot Chocolate 3 Musketeer bars.
Top them off with a few mini marshmallows,
and you have one serious muffin,
fit for a birthday.
Hot Chocolate Muffins:
2 1/2 cups of flour
1 1/2 cups of hot chocolate mix
2 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs (lightly beaten)
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup of melted butter
1 cup of milk
combine all of the dry ingredients
mix in the eggs, vanilla, butter, and milk
just until everything is combined
fill cupcake liners 2/3 full
press one mini 3 musketeer into the center of each muffin
bake @375 for 15 minutes
add 3 – 4 mini marshmallows onto the top
return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes
{the marshmallows will be golden brown}
allow to cool
and
Enjoy!
