Peanut Butter Balls

Peanut butter balls are certainly far from fancy,
and they most definitely are  NOT a health food,
but they are one of the most highly anticipated treats in our house.

My mom always made them for the holidays,
and we looked forward to them so much, that as soon as I had a family of my own, I began making them myself.

Charlie starts mentioning them in September or October.
They really are that good.

Chocolate and peanut butter…
how can they NOT be.

Christmas may be behind us, but until my New Years cleanse, I’m going to indulge just a few days longer.

Peanut Butter Balls

4 cups of peanut butter
1 cup of butter
2 lbs of powdered sugar
1/2 tsp salt

combine together, roll into balls, and chill
{they coat much easier when cold}

Melt a bag of chocolate chips
{I add just a few drops of vegetable oil}
dip each ball in chocolate and chill until hardened

They are so easy to make, I’m not sure why I wait all year for them:)

  5. i LOVE how easy peanut butter balls are to make!!! Can you really go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate? I think not! A simple, yet decadent little treat. Problem is…. I can never just eat one!
