I love holiday time,
but I have to admit,
this year I am just not feeling it.
I don’t know if it’s our crazy schedule,
cancelled vacation plans,
or just plain crankiness.
I am having a hard time getting into the spirit of the season.
My gifts haven’t been purchased
I don’t have my cards yet
The decorations are somewhere in the basement
Bah Humbug pretty much sums up how I feel.
A little gingerbread treat should do the trick.
Have you tried the Gingerbread Oreos yet?
Oh my they are good.
I decided to turn mine into crumbs {the whole package minus one or two}
and mix them with 3 tbsp of butter melted with
1 package {10 oz} of gingerbread flavored marshmallows
{they were almost too cute to melt}
pressed into a square baking dish
cooled
and you have yourself one very festive holiday treat
you don’t even need to turn on the oven.
and…if you happen to come across my holiday spirit,
please send it back
Enjoy!

*hugs* I feel you! Usually, I’m waaaay into it, yet somehow, I’m only feeling it halfway. It comes and goes, sadly
however, methinks these bars should perk you right up!! They look awesome and love that they’re no-bake!
No bake? Yes, please!
Sign me up for these!!! WOW! And I’m sorry you’re not feeling this season. Maybe drinks with some blogger friends will make it better…
absolutely!
This is the perfect recipe for this time of year! With all of the holiday craziness, who needs to worry about spending lots of time in the kitchen and baking up a storm. I sure hope these helped brighten your spirits
I’m not feeling it either!
I am with you…I just am not all the way into it this year. Our decorating is only half done…maybe if I finish that and eat some awesome looking bars that will help!!!
This sounds great! I’m having trouble this year too. I think it’s being so busy and oh yeah it’s still 80 outside for some reason. Yuck. Anyway. Thanks for sharing over at Real Housemoms for Fabulous Fridays! and I’m hoping this does the trick for me too.
Oh Heather, you’re not the only one not feeling it. I’m too struggling this year, with 3 kids and a giant man-baby, things are so chaotic that either I don’t have time for Christmas, or maybe it’s the fact that I normally save throughout the entire year ready for Christmas – but haven’t at all this year. I’ve got no clue how I’m even going to manage Christmas.
Looks like I’ll be making some no bake gingerbread treats for people and hope they’re happy with their treats.
They look and sound fantastic.
If you don’t mind, I’d love if you would stop by and share these and any other dessert creations on Sugar & Slice Sunday weekly link party.
