Phyllo Apple Blossoms

Another week bites the dust.

The  house is all decked out for Halloween
Christmas lists are being made
Vacation plans are coming along

It all is happening SO fast

Wasn’t it just summer break?

My head was spinning this weekend
my must dos were taking over my want to dos
and I found myself in panic mode

NOT pretty I tell  you

My cure…

apple blossoms

It’s hard to stress when your kitchen smells like cinnamon and buttery apples.
Go ahead, try it, and if all else fails, there’s always wine and RHONJ:)

Enjoy!

Phyllo Apple Blossoms:
5 phyllo sheets {thawed}
4 tbsp butter {divided}
2 apples {peeled, cored, and diced}
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

pre-heat the oven to 375
melt 2 tbsp butter in a small skillet
add in the apples, sugar, and cinnamon, and cook until soft

brush each phyllo sheet with melted butter {remaining 2 tbsp}
layer
cut into 4 squares {large} or 8 {mini} pastries
divide the apple filling evenly among the squares

fold up the edges and seal
brush the tops with butter
you can sprinkle with a little extra cinnamon and sugar if you like {I did}

bake for 20 minutes
serve warm

  1. I agree! It’s hard to be stressed out with a yummy treat like this. And Christmas. Man. I’m SO NOT even ready for Halloween. I want to relax and enjoy the season!

  2. Ugh, I’m feeling that stress!!! I feel like I’m spinning my wheels and can’t get ahead, which makes my blood pressure rise! Better just relax and bake these instead! These remind me of my moms Hungarian apple strudel!

  7. I remember when I gave some phyllo apple blossoms to my college admissions counselors as a token for helping out in handling stress.
