{salted} Caramel Apple Scones

I think my schedule has been getting the better of me.

After making breakfast and packing lunches today, my fridge is EMPTY

I mean REALLY empty.
No milk
No juice
No bread
No cheese

I did however find my remaining jar of apple butter, a little bit of caramel sauce, and some Greek yogurt.
So…I made scones

Caramel Apple Scones

and…because I replaced the butter with apple butter
and…used whole wheat flour
I’m going to call these healthy.

They happen to be delicious as well.

For the scones:
3 cups of flour
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of apple butter
2 tbsp of baking powder
1 tsp of baking soda
1 cup of Greek yogurt

combine all of the dry ingredients
then add the yogurt and apple butter

roll out the dough (on a lightly floured surface)
form into a circle (about 1/2 inch thick)
cut into 12 wedges
bake @ 350 for about 18 minutes

cool
drizzle with caramel sauce

Enjoy!
