The day has finally come.
School begins tomorrow.
No more sleeping in.
No more late night movies.
The silver lining.
I get a quiet house again,
and the beginning of the school year means that fall is not far behind.
HELLO cool temperatures and colored leaves.
Pumpkins and apple pies.
Nights by the fire – if I had a fire place that is:)
You get the picture.
Tonight I will begin my school night ritual.
Dinner, clean-up, showers, reading, and…wait for it
lunch packing
do not fear, I’ve got it covered.
Pizza Pinwheels:
inspired by these adorable pizza pops @Baked Bree
dough of your choice (pizza, bread, crescent)
~it’s all good
about 1/2 cup of sauce
shredded cheese
pepperoni (or your choice of topping)
roll the dough into a square ish shape
spread on the sauce
cheese
toppings
and then roll (like a cinnamon roll)
cut into wheels
bake@ 350 for 10 minutes
top with one piece of pepperoni and a sprinkle of cheese
and pop under the broiler for just a minute or two
Here’s hoping for a smooth start to the new school year.
Enjoy!

I want twelve of those pinwheels–they look so ooey and cheesy and delicious. Reminds me of a grown-up, much tastier version of those pizza snacks. Mm!

So it begins. We have another week, but in my mind I’m prepping for the big day and all that goes with it. I’m sort of ready for the normal bed times to be honest! I like this dinner, would be a great thing to make on buys school nights. Every one would love this!
