Too hot for food HOT
I may not be ready for the early mornings of our back to school schedule, but I am completely ready for fall weather. Hot and I just do not get along all that well.
Unfortunately, here in Folsom fall may not make an appearance until November, so I better learn to make the most of it.
When it’s too hot to cook, but you need a little something, we make smoothies.
Throw fruit, juice, ice in a blender and voila – breakfast, lunch, snack is done.
This smoothie is as good as a milk shake, and good for you.
I may just learn to embrace the heat after all.
Banana Split Smoothie:
In a blender combine 1 banana
handful of strawberries halved
1 cup of dark chocolate almond milk
just a little crushed ice
blend until smooth
a banana split minus all the guilt
