Root-Beer Float and Creamsicle Pops

We’re not typically a soda drinking family, but there is just something summery about a root-beer float.

I don’t care for the mess that a float makes, and believe me with kids there will be a BIG mess!

I’m also on a Popsicle kick lately, so why not put the two together.

Along with the root-beer, I wanted to try making a pop based on the classic orange creamsicle.

There are many different versions of the root-beer float pop, but the easiest by far has only two ingredients.

1 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
2 8 ounce cans of root-beer (or orange soda for the creamsicles)

Carefully combine 7 ounces of the milk with one can of soda (watch out for the fizz)
pour into 4 Dixie cups and freeze until slightly firm
then add the sticks
freeze until the sticks are firmly in place, and then pour in the remaining can of soda (evenly among the 4 cups)
freeze

I made 8 pops (4 of each flavor) with 1 can of condensed milk and 2 cans of root-beer and 2 cans of orange soda

Summer on a stick:)

Enjoy!

  1. Milk and Soda??? Two things that I don’t drink but I think children like that. My son is only two yo so he doesn’t drink soda yet ( I hope he will never lol) But that sounds good for my nephews who would really enjoy that. Thanks for sharing ;)
