You know all of those delicious looking healthy alternatives to cookie-dough floating about the internet…
This is not one of them.
I love a healthy alternative as much as anyone, but sometimes dessert is simply dessert.
Anything in moderation right?
I wanted to try a cookie dough recipe, but dip wasn’t sounding good to me today.
The peanut butter chocolate chip brownie cups I made were such a hit, I thought I’d try peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough brownies.
Peanut butter and chocolate were just meant for each other.
Oh my!
Start with your favorite brownie recipe
bake in an 8×8 pan – I used my Le Creuset “star” in honor of Independence Day
Cool completely
While the brownies are cooling make the cookie dough:
Cream together 1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
add 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp cream
1 cup of flour
finally sir in 1 cup of mini-chips
with slightly damp hands press cookie dough onto the brownies
chill until the dough is firm (makes for easier cutting)
Enjoy!

Now THAT sounds good. Actually, it sounds absofreakin’ wonderful.
Oh my gosh this looks amazing! Peanut butter and cookie dough are 2 of my most favourite things! Love it!

I made these last night and it turned out perfect! Amazing! I thought they would display better for guests made in a round pan and cut in triangles… the slices were too big and most couldn’t finish their piece. Very delicious but rich so you only need a small slice. Fed 12 adults and more to spare.
