We are going camping!
Well, maybe not your idea of camping.
We will be in an RV., but for me that is definitely camping.
Not that I have anything against sleeping outside.
It really is a great way to spend family time.
My kids LOVE being outdoors, and everything tastes better cooked over fire!
The R.V. is simply more comfortable (and it has a bathroom).
I’m trying to pack lightly,
~ easier said than done
and bring quick grab and go food for breakfast and lunch, so that we only need to build one fire in the evening.
A few ripe bananas in the fruit bowl made my job that much easier. Banana bread makes a fantastic breakfast and or afternoon snack.
Add in some nutella and it’s sure to win over the fussy one:)
For the bread:
Mash 3 ripe bananas
add in 1 cup of sugar (I used a bit less) and 4 tbsp of melted butter
add 2 eggs lightly beaten
1 tsp of baking powder, 1 tsp of baking soda, and 1/2 tsp of salt, and 2 cups of flour (I used a blend of white and whole wheat)
divide the batter in half
in one bowl of batter blend in 1/2 cup of nutella
add the batter in alternating sections

and gently swirl with a knife
bake @350F for 1 hour
cool
slice
great outdoors here I come

What a great idea to add Nutella to banana bread, I will definitely have to do this next time because I LOVE Nutella (and banana bread too!) Glad I saw this!

An rv is a must. I don’t camp, but if I had an rv, I might think about it. I would definitely bring this bread!

I love camping – we usually take our tent but I like the idea of having one of the dinky little motorhomes that just fits a double bed in.
