Flour.
Baking Soda.
Salt.
Buttermilk.
Doesn’t sound like much does it?
When these four simple ingredients are combined, something remarkable happens.
I happen to think that a wee bit of Irish butter makes it just that much more remarkable
This loaf is as basic as it gets, and many times I add currants or dried berries, but as an accompaniment to our St. Patrick’s day meal, I chose to stick with the classic.
This was the perfect week for Tuesdays with Dorie to choose this recipe.
