This was my first TWD recipe – chocolate truffle tartles
from the book Baking with Julia.
If you do not own this book you should.
I enjoy baking, but because measuring is not my thing, I am definitely not a great baker. This recipe was a little scary at first. I have never really ventured into tart making. Pies give me enough of a struggle. But I am so excited to be part of this group, that I had to dive right in.
You know what…it wasn’t that bad. A little time consuming, but very enjoyable. (and this coming from a non-measurer)
The chocolate dough made in the food processor was actually quite easy to work with.

I was SO relieved to have the shells baking; the filling was a breeze!
For my first attempt at tartlets, I was very pleased with my results – I’m not even a chocolate fan!

Your crust looks great!
Thank you both – trouble posting to TWD though:)
Looks like they turned out great, even if you don’t like to measure.
Glad your link finally came up. And your tarts came out great!
I’m glad you enjoyed these – it’s hard for me to imagine not being a chocolate fan!
