Birthday Cake Rice-Krispy Treats

look how cute the sprinkles are

There aren’t too many treats quite as easy as the rice-krispy treat.

In fact, the kids do a great job on their own.

We have tried them with cocoa  krispies, we’ve even added peanut butter, but we usually stick with plain, old, dependable, original rice-krispy treats.

Not anymore!

I saw this idea on 24/7 moms, and knew I’d have to try it.

Birthday Cake rice-krispy treats.  I LOVE anything cake flavored.

I went for the fun-fetti cake mix for the cute factor:)

I hope the kids are excited as I am.

Still super easy, and they are delicious!

For the treats:
6 cups of crisped rice cereal
1 bag of marshmallows (minis melt easier)
4 tbsp of butter
1/2 cup of cake mix (dry)

Do:
In a mixing bowl combine the  cake mix with the cereal
Melt the butter and then stir in the marshmallows
Mix the cereal in to the butter/marshmallow goodness
using wax paper or a buttered spatula press into a greased pan
allow to cool

How easy was that?
Even better…you have the rest of the box of cake mix to do it all over again!

Enjoy!
